2026 - 2027 SDSU Aztec Winter Guard

Audition Information

  • First Round of Auditions

    • General information:

      • Saturday, June 6 & Sunday, June 7

      • 9 am - 6 pm both days

      • 8:15 am check in Saturday June 6

      • Location: ENS 380 Dance Room for Saturday only

    • Please wear all black, form-fitting dance attire. You may also dance in indoor dance shoes or bare feet, and we ask that your hair be up out of your face.

    • Please fill out the registration form prior to auditions.

    • After filling out registration form, you will be emailed 2 waivers you need to sign. If you are under the age of 18, a guardian needs to sign the waivers as well. Please make sure these documents are submitted by auditions day, you can email or bring a physical copy.

      • Please fill out as follow (Liability Release Form):

  • Cost

    • There is a $40 audition fee due on the first day you attend the audition.

    • We accept cash or Venmo.

  • Lunch

    • There will be a 1 hour lunch break each day.

    • Bring your own lunch or money to purchase food in the area.

  • Parking Information

    • Parking is available in PS12 for day 1 or PS7 for day 2 but requires the purchase of a permit each day

    • Cost of the parking permit is $15/day

    • Permits can be purchased by phone. See image below

    • Free street parking is also available around campus

Guard Fees & Information

  • Please visit our FAQs page for more information.

  • We will be attending WGI Regionals, WCWG Championships, and WGASC Championships. Additional shows will be throughout Southern California and surrounding states.

  • We compete in the following circuits: Winter Guard International (WGI), and West Coast Winter Guard (WCWG), Winter Guard Association of Southern California (WGASC) as well as additional performances at SDSU and throughout San Diego.

  • Fees are TBD. Scholarships and individual fundraisers will be announced.

  • New members who did not march the fall guard will also be required to purchase their team gear (warm ups, back pack, practice attire, SD Guard shirt, etc.).

  • SDSU students must enroll in the class for the Spring semester and non-SDSU members must register for the class through Global Campus for the Spring semester.

  • All members are required to participate in team fundraisers such as: On Camera Audiences, Restaurant Fundraisers, Holiday Gift Wrapping, Souvenir and Recruiting Booths, The Great Give, Clothing & Technology Drives, Clinic & Camp Staff, etc.
